The futures were up as much as six points Sunday night, apparently unable to pick up the scent of news that could be used to move the markets more significantly. The 892.75 rally target is still viable but perhaps too well divulged by now to be of particular value for trading. There were no promising handholds for night owls, although a somewhat risky entry at 880.50 (stop 878.50) was signaled shortly before 9 p.m. EDT. Longs from that price would face crucial resistance at 882.00, but anything above it would portend more strength to as high as 885.25 over the next few hours.
