The downtrend begun in early March faces a crucial test of support at 83.45, the midpoint of the pattern shown in the accompanying chart. If this Hidden Pivot is breached it would hint of more weakness over the next few weeks to as low as 80.04. A strong bounce from that number looks like a high-odds bet if it is reached, so currency traders should keep it well in mind.
