jim sinclair said "....be very very careful about these mining stocks." Many time you are invested your fortune in a black hole deep on the ground full of rocks.

I suspect when real gold discovered ( in many foreign countries,) the government(s), may well after all, declare to nationalize all their precious metals and natural recourses. I mean why not? Are they stupid? Precious natural recourses belong the to country and their people. Not a bunch of "foreign parasites with some money."

Take Mexico for example, I don't see any reason why the Mexican government not nationalize their Gold mines. They will only not do it when the US government point at them with Nukes.

Rick,

as i know you read thesecomments before posting them, you can avoid having this appear here, as it is off-topic.

You remember my comment about J. Derrida, whereto you made mention of Noam Chomsky as well.

Tunrs out I may have been wrong with my non-belief in the notion of self-hating of any kind at least in one instance, though generally I don't believe it as being illogical.

However, that one case may be Mahmoud Ahmadinejad!
You may not yet have seen it, but it turns out he is Jewish by the classical definition of acquisition from his mother/parents. Apparently, his parents converted to Islam after he was born.

You can see the details here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iran/6256173/Mahmoud-Ahmadinejad-revealed-to-have-Jewish-past.html

Maybe its a hoax, but if not, one needs to rethink a lot of things we tend to thing are facts.

Regards, Chris

&&&&&

Yes, I saw that story and wondered myself whether it was a hoax. Apparently not. The evidence seems pretty straightforward that Ahmadinejad's family bore the surname of Jews who wove prayer shawls. RA

There are a lot of good junior gold mining companies out there, but also a lot of very risky ones with high political and/or operational risk. I recently came across a good site for news and analysis on many good small and mid-cap mining companies, http://www.goldalert.com. Some of the ones that I think will continue to do particularly well are Aura Minerals (ORA.TSX), San Gold (SGR.TSXV), Claude Resources (CGR), Premier Gold (PG), and Golden Star Resources (GSS). Each of these companies provides considerable leverage to the gold price, which I think will continue to outperform other asset classes because of the govt's efforts to try to prevent deflation at all costs by printing huge sums of money.

Re MAOMF and NOXGF on Pick Sheets:
"• Unlike Maudore, it hasn’t yet moved."
Sorry Chuck but fail to see how NOXGF has not moved,
after it went from .031 on 12/22/8 to 31 cents today, up tenfold.
Pink Sheets can be a market maker license to steal.
Are you suggesting NOXGF may go up 100 fold to compensate for the excess risk?
Likewise, MAOMF, up fourfold+ from .82 on 10/27/8 to 3.42 on 10/6/8?
People get most bearish at the bottom and bullish at the top, sometimes selling at bottoms and buying at tops, living to regret it.
Maybe I am stuck in a box with the perspective of having bought gold in 1999...

Rick, You say that the inflation arguments are too lame even to debate. Yet, I believe it is something of a truism that gold is THE hedge against inflation. Why tout gold miners?

&&&&&

Ben: I suggest reviewing my commentary going back a few years, since I've answered this question hundreds of times. RA

In addition to these listed, there's a ton of other juniors out there with low valuations.

How about Tyhee (tdc.v) with a market cap of only $22MM and 2 million ounces of AU reserves. That's $11 per ounce of gold in the ground?

Or Kimber Resources (KBX) with a market cap of $46MM and 1.9MM ounces of AU equivalent in the ground.

Time to back up the truck...
