Just Another Friday?

With Friday the 13th leading into a three-day holiday weekend, we should expect a pretty dull day on Wall Street, right? That’d be my contrarian guess, especially since there are reasons for traders to be  jittery, including the drubbing stocks took in the early going Thursday. Consumer sentiment and retail sales data are due out and should provide some boost, especially since car sales supposedly were strong in December.  Please note that there is actionable advice contained in my latest update for the E-Mini S&Ps. However, the window for getting long has been narrowed considerably to avoid taking an unwanted position over the long weekend.

I would look for the US Dollar to stay strong in the future.
Mexico is spinning out of control. the drug cartels are firmly in control, the Government has been comprimised at every level.
If Trump actually slams shut that door to the US that has served as a safety valve for the last forty years, Mexico will splinter like Iraq, Syria etc.
Venezuela is a failed state, Central America has always been a mess.
    Brazil is staggering.
So from Tijuana to Tierra del Fuego, demand for the US Dollar will be ongoing.
And the more those countries descend into madness, the more sense America First isolationism will make.

In Europe, the countries not willing to become part of the New Caliphate will simply align with Russia. Hungary, the Czechs, Slovaks, probably the Baltic states are already leaning that way. Austria could go either way.
The EU as a political force, and the Euro as a currency will simply fade away.

Large parts of West Europe and the MENA will simply be living in the 7th century, only with AK 47s and Smart phones!

China will probably come to dominate Asia eventually.
The US has sewn enough chaos in the world outside of Asia, that unless we have a Thermo Nuclear exchange with China or Russia, the USD will be the last man standing.

Gold is great, but 75% of the people in this country do not even have $1000 cash to spare, let alone any gold and silver.

I suppose it is all tragic or hilarious, depending on your point of view!
