Bears’ Immediate Fate Rests with AMZN

The S&P futures’ timid push above a key resistance on Monday seems almost too contrived to produce the short-squeeze everyone was expecting to kick in above that level. A trap?  Perhaps. But bears who are counting on this contrarian will-o-the-wisp to save the day had better take a gander at the chart accompanying my latest AMZN tout. The stock has been a very reliable bellwether over the years and looks ready to embark on yet another wilding spree higher. If that proves to be the case, we are not likely to see the broad averages top out right now.
