It’s anybody’s guess whether stocks will get swept higher, since Friday Follies are so often filled with charming little surprises. If there is reason for bears to take encouragement, however, it lies in the failure of yesterday’s chicken-hearted rally to get past a look-to-the-left peak at 1113.00 recorded on May 19.
