Holiday Greetings!

My very best wishes to you all on this day of joyous celebration for Christians and Jews. May the festival lights of Chanukah and the Nativity Star shine brightly upon all the world.

UK government figures suggest that just 464 people are sleeping rough in England. However, charities have attacked the figures as misleading and being “massaged” so that the government can hit its ambitious target of eliminating all rough sleepers by 2012. Chain’s 2009 figures indicated there were 3,472 rough sleepers in the capital alone –an increase of 15 per cent on the year before. Thousands of homeless go unrecorded, with an undercover report proving that centres are ushering the homeless out the door without even recording the incidence of them, since authorities are only required to house those classed as vulnerable such as the elderly, pregnant women or those with children, or the disabled.
The true number of homeless, which includes ‘sofa-surfers’ reliant on friends & relatives is believed to be well over 400,000.
According to Crisis: “The coalition Government is dismantling the buffers against poverty and unemployment that have traditionally kept a roof over vulnerable households’ heads.”

Concerns are also being raised that what money has been allocated to the problem is likely to be eaten up by cash-strapped authorities on other things, as government workers clamber to protect their own financial share.
Shelter says that in Wales repossession orders are up 300%, as people run out of options after already cutting back on food & heating in an effort to keep up with rent & mortgage payments.
Headlines like those of a Lincolnshire housing association getting £247,000 from a government fund sound hopeful until you look a little deeper. The money is spread over 3 years & even if all of it went to help the 8000 homeless that the organization deals with, it only amounts to £10 per person per year, or just 0.02 pence a day! Contrast this with the billions being spent on war or propping up tyrannical regimes under the guise of foreign aid, or the trillions spent in what amounts to direct funding of Bankster’s lifestyles & we get a clear picture of where priorities lie, or at least who does the most lobbying of government!

A similar situation can be seen in the US:

The National Centre on Family Homelessness, based in Needham, Massachusetts, said 1.6 million children were living on the streets of the United States last year or in shelters, motels and doubled-up with other families. Even hard working families doing multiple jobs are unable to afford a roof over their heads. The homeless complain of the deafness of politicians, saying that they will find any amount of money for wars or for propping up banks & other friends of government, but claim there’s no money to feed or house the poor:

More & more people are becoming aware of our corrupt world political system where leaders answer not to the needs of people, but to the wants of the rich & powerful, who send their lobbyists to maintain & increase their position of dominance, adding further to the concentration of their wealth, willingly taking what little the poor even had. The system is not failing…it was designed this way through issuing money as a debt based currency. (Search Youtube for “The Money Masters”)

With the replacement of any political leaders who may have put up a fight, by bankster friendly ones (even Goldman Sachs accountants in Greece) & the restriction of access to the money supply by the general populations in debtor countries expected to last until 2016, thus paying the debts to the international banking cartel out of whatever assets can be seized in the meantime, it looks like our fate is now sealed with a terrible future awaiting millions of people worldwide.

    So please, remember the destitute.

    Merry Xmas to all.
