No Trader Left Behind Series – Session 1

No Trader Left Behind – Session 1 (April 1, 2013)

Attendee Comments

Rick,

Thanks so much for today’s NTLB. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from today’s session. I had learned camouflage from your course when it was a recent addition to the plan and have used it many times since taking the course. But today things changed dramatically for me. Using a current ES chart you pointed out the relevant ABCD pattern on a chart of larger larger (60 min) and then honed in on a chart of lesser degree (5 min) showing precisely how to get into a profitable camouflage trade with limited risk. Being able to ask questions about specific details of a trade or pattern was invaluable. It wasn’t necessary to wait for a similar issue or another chart to arise before a question could be answered.

I felt for the first time that something just ‘clicked’ and I got it. I’ve attended many of your ‘impromptu’ webinars and weekly sessions associated with the course and have always found them very helpful. What was different today was the opportunity to speak with you directly and get an immediate response to a question. I am now confident that I’ll be able to not only recognize the relevant patterns, but to profit from them more consistently. I can saw without reservation that today was one of my finest educational experiences. Thank you.

All the best,

John B.

Rick,

What I got out of the session:

1. A better understanding of when to bend the rules.
2. How to identify ABC’s a little better, this is something that I struggle with
3. Why single bars generate higher probability trades

What I am still struggling with:

1. Lack of confidence in the system, which I expect will come with experience and by looking at many charts
2.ABC’s can often be looked at from both a bullish or bearish perspective and I find it hard to decide which way to look at it

I am still going through the new webinars which you provided access to, I will provide more feedback once I complete revising the material.

Thanks for the session and my apologies for more been more prepared before the session.

Regards,
Shaf

Hi Rick, (From Jovan P.)

First of all thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to directly talk to you.
Remember that this is a feedback from practically (still) inexperienced person.

After this webinar I definitely gained more:

1) Understanding of camouflage process.
2) Consequently, more confidence in doing potential trade
3) I’ve also realized that there is no just one solution or way to do a trade in camouflage. We can do it different ways depending on what bars are available to us. Drilling down, analyzing. Missing opportunity, looking for the next, and always be ready to protect yourself. You showed me that I have to keep in mind big picture and middle point (and target D) of bigger pattern for potential consequences. I’ve also realized that camouflage is good for having tighter stop losses. I see that camouflage is both technical and art thing. Having just one of these components is not enough I would say.

Rick you can take above as my feedback. But I will write more down hoping that it won’t take much of your precious time.

Maybe you should select best of your own camouflage trades in the recent time (for example last 12 month) with emphasise on the art part of that. Technicals are easy to understand, especially for technical persons like many of traders are. But traders are artist as well (I mean successful traders). Maybe you can record your personal best trades, select some and provide them for students, with emphasis on that emotional (art) process. And then you put it in your HP seminar. Also, although we have a set of rules, sometimes we ignore them. Having some examples where we ignore some rules in order to prove trading point would be good also.
These are just my suggestions and observations.

[Is camouflage the same (or has the same success rate / percentage) as it was for example 10 years ago, year ago and now? Do you see some changes due to HFT trading?] Enough…

Thank you Rick for reaching out to your subscribers with this program.

My trading has really struggled and I look forward to the boost of confidence. I’m particularly unclear how to use my ABC’s to build a clear picture of market context, especially when integrating signals across time frames (particularly when there are conflicting signals, e.g. P-reversals going in both directions—GBP futures have shown this over the last week). Also, not unrelated, I’m unclear how to build a position for a larger move, say how to trade in and out of positions on lower time frames when I’m trying to capture a bigger move on longer time frame charts. I’ve been watching EUR, CHF and GBP futures closely, and have fresh examples of bad trading (just yesterday I bastardized a 100 pip move into just $30 by over trading the EUR).

Thanks again Rick. I look forward to chatting with you tomorrow, and receiving a dose of cool objectiveness to calm my shattered nerves.

Ken P
