We’ve been looking for a shortable top in the board averages near these levels, and it’s possible that Apple’s earnings-induced hysterics early Tuesday evening will provide just the push we’d needed to get filled. Decent earnings are expected from a couple of other companies as well, and this could offer the false glimmer of hope that has been needed to push shares into bull-trap territory.
