No News Is Good News

Today’s E-Mini S&P tout suggests — not entirely facetiously — that DaBoyz may have run out of good news to fuel the next short-squeeze. Yes, we know that nearly any news will suffice to drive panicky buying, since bears have become extremely skittish after bucking a relentless bull market since 2009.  But if you try to imagine where the good news might come from, and you assume that statistical lies from the departments of Labor, Commerce et al. are no longer having much of an impact, it is most befuddling to try to imagine the headlines that will accompany the stock market’s next reckless surge.
