Baltimore’s riots have pushed all other news off the front page, including such ordinarily above-the-fold stuff as Saudi Arabia’s capture of 93 jihadis plotting to car-bomb the U.S. embassy in Riyadh. Too bad the city’s most famous journalist, H.L. Mencken, isn’t around to make good sense of it all.
