For the first time in the 20-year publishing history of Rick’s Picks, there will be no updates. A Comcast outage began the day, knocking out phones and Internet; twelve hours later, it has not been fixed, nor is Comcast forthcoming about when the system might be up and running again. Murphy’s Law has also knocked out my Verizon wireless backup, and if that weren’t enough, Tradestation froze when I attempted to open it using yet another wireless connection — one that is not available to me at this late hour. I am using Verizon to publish this message, but the signal is so poor that it takes several minutes to browse in a page. If I am up and running Friday morning, I will update touts and hold an ‘impromptu’ session online to look at possible opportunities.
