The night shift has worked index futures lower Monday night, presumably to dry up selling ahead of an attempt to extend yesterday’s short squeeze rally. My hunch is that the ploy will fail and that shares will relapse to Friday’s lows or worse. Whatever happens, I would suggest that all but the nimblest day-traders repair to the sidelines for now.
