A Holiday Greeting

The broad averages weren’t breathing hard enough on Thursday to fog the proverbial mirror. Look for the action  to slow down even more on Friday ahead of the three-day weekend. Although Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, the markets will be closed on Monday — and next Monday as well, since New Year’s Day also falls on a Sunday. The eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights, Chanukah, begins Saturday at sunset as well with the lighting of the first candle on the menorah. I’ll be in the chat room briefly on Friday — Colorado having received enough snow in the last week to ski on — so let me take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a happy Chanukah, and a weekend filled with friends, family and joyous doings.
