Index futures have opened quietly Sunday evening, belying the tensions that continue to seethe beneath the surface. Yellen is scheduled to give a speech at the Ford School of Policy in Ann Arbor after Monday’s close, but this is unlikely to have much effect on the markets, since the Fed has already signaled its intentions for the foreseeable future. In any event, our trading bias will be slightly bullish as the new week begins, but with the intention of shorting into a moderate rally.
