An Added Dollop of Tedium?

Index futures were in their wonted Sunday night dirge, threatening to send volatility readings to new all-time lows.  I say “threatening,” but what it amounts to is menacing us with nothing more than another dollop of tedium at a time when most of us are probably expecting excitement. We should be careful what we wish for, however, since Mr Market seldom provides the kind of excitement that is designed to give pleasure. On the other hand, how likely is it that Wall Street’s best and brightest are counting on a happy outcome now that the housing and auto sectors have begun to roll down? Let’s brace for the worst, I say, but please let’s get it over with already!

As, stated by the post a ‘corner’ on money and wealth has taken place.

History states that ‘corners’ never end well.

Good post, and have a nice week ahead.

As the concentration of wealth reaches the Romanov level, the Velocity of Money will continue to sink. Pull the Student, Auto, and Home Loan money from the new “Beached Boy Serfers” and the truth will be astonishingly clear!

The Petro Dollar will continue to be replaced by the Port Royal Dollar as Trillions stolen by Buccaneers from Asia, the MENA, and South America flood into the US Coastal Real Estate.
When the KSA gets overthrown, another flood of stolen money will head to LA, just as it did when the Shah was booted from Iran.

After a little whimsical thought, I now will predict that the magic number of Oligarchs required to “Own” the entire planet and trigger their own demise is 12!

Since those 12 Oligarchs will also own all the debt owed on the planet, their ultimate liquidation will zero out that debt!

    Hooray!!!!

    That’s the good news!

    Now for the bad news!

What will follow will be Marius, Sulla, Crassus, Pompey, Caesar, Marc Anthony, Augustus, in a series of power grabs.

Or, we might just go directly to the Mogadishu model of AK-47s and RPGs.

    Europe, Russia, China?????????????

    To be continued……………….

Continued, I hope! Your ‘Beached Boy Serfers’ is the kind of insightful word-play that makes this one of the most underrated and underread financial sites on the Web. An unusual and nice touch — one that distinguishes Rick’s Picks from the likes of ZeroHedge is that you have graciously refrained from characterizing the 12 Oligarchs, first of all, as Jews. It’s very unusual to see such restraint online in these troubled times.
