BA – Boeing Co. (Last:297.90)

Although the trajectory of Boeing’s rise has been even steeper than that of the FANG stocks, it is still possible to project a possible top at exactly 320.54 using the pattern shown. It is as gnarly as any I have ever presented here, mainly because it uses an extremely elongated A-B segment coupled with a tiny B-C correction that would seem, at least visually, to hold little or no significance for the overall pattern. However, that choice of coordinates has, as you can see, produced a pullback precisely from the p midpoint, 247.15, nominally confirming the pattern. Also, even though my choice is a visual stretch, there is no rule that explicitly argues against it. For that matter, the short k-A segment bears a sibling resemblance to B-C — a point that I used to make in the original, six-hour version of the Hidden Pivot course.  The foregoing implies that HP levels x, p and p2 can all be used to generate ‘mechanical’ buy signals for the presumptive last leg of Boeing’s spectacular bull market. If you care, stay tuned to the chat room for timely guidance._______ UPDATE (Nov 21, 6:05 p.m. EST): I am revising my target downward to 301.96 because of the precise interplay between buyers and the 266.45 midpoint Hidden Pivot shown here. The head-butting at p=266.45 implies that if and when this benchmark is exceeded, BA will head for a minimum 301.96, whence we should expect a tradable pullback. _______ UPDATE (Dec 12, 7:39 p.m.): Time to start getting your minds right for buying puts if and when BA hits 301.96.  I’ve got my eye on the 29 December 295 puts for around 1.80, but a lot could happen between now and then. Follow them casually for now anyway so that you can develop a feel for the series.  We may switch to another, but I’ll let you know in any case — in real time. Be sure to check ‘Email Notifications’ on your account dashboard if you want to receive such alerts in timely fashion. ______ UPDATE (Dec 17, 10:02 p.m.): Such is the institutional fanaticism for owning shares in this company that the stock barely flinched Friday in the face of a negative front page story in the Wall Street Journal. It explained how trade sanctions against Iran could kill deals that Boeing and Airbus have made with the mullahs. Let’s see if DaBoyz can keep their cool on Monday. Assuming they do, the longstanding target at 301.96 will still be in play. If and when BA trades for 301.70 or higher, buy four 29th December puts at the first out-of-the-money strike trading for less than 1.00._______ UPDATE (Dec 19, 9:22 p.m.): No change. It looks as though the 295 strike will be the one trading for under $1.00. Keep in mind that we will be standing squarely in the path of a speeding freight train.  Under the circumstances, you should stop yourself out of the puts if they trade for 0.40 less than the price paid for them. _______ UPDATE (Dec 20, 6:15 p.m.): Cancel all orders. I’ll put out timely guidance intraday if warranted.
