BA – Boeing Co. (Last:348.88)

Boeing’s sharp rise on Wednesday against weakness in the broad averages tells us that the congenitally bullish portfolio managers who have engineered the stock’s vertical rise are not exactly spooked by the market’s sell-off this week. Even so, Wednesday’s spike to 360.97 on upbeat earnings news could cap the rally for a while, especially if the broad averages recede in the week(s) ahead as I expect. Put options are at least 50% overvalued, but if any enticing anomalies develop I will signal the opportunity in the chat room. If BA were to turn around and push decisively past that number, it would put the 391.26 target shown in play. For now, we’ll simply observe rather than predict. Boeing deserves our diligent attention because it will lead the stock market’s next bullish charge if and when it comes. Please note that it would take a dip below 331.33 to turn the hourly chart bearish.
