An Avon Lady in North Korea’s Future?

The top story of the hour is that Trump supposedly will abandon talks with Kim Jong Un if they are ‘not fruitful’. We wonder what kind of fruit the President has in mind.  We can all hope that any meeting between the two leaders produces a solemn pledge from Mr. Kim to join the community of nations.  How would we know if he’s being truthful? For starters, he could open the door to a Buick dealership in Pyongyang. That’s the kind of gesture Westerners would understand –would perhaps even trust, assuming the showroom is not operated by a Kim in-law.  Granted, business would be pretty slow for the first ten or twenty years. But once North Koreans get a taste of intermittent windshield wipers and Sirius XM radio, it would grease the entry track for Disney, Five Guys and Beyonce.  More likely, unfortunately, is that the first Avon lady to arrive on the scene would be arrested, tried for espionage and shot by a firing squad.

,,,In 2005, China’s former Minister of National Defense allegedly went so far as to recommend an invasion of the United States.

True or not, such hard line sentiments definitely hover just below the surface of the Chinese military leadership.

Recently a high-ranking general in China’s nuclear corps appeared at the forefront of a conspiracy of torture and political intimidation aimed at removing less hawkish political rivals. Inexplicably, he remains in command.

Like the hawks, the moderates and progressives in China are not made in the Western image. They are not interested in international cooperation unless it gives China a foothold for gain, and they do not care one whit for human rights.

Theirs are the voices pushing China’s economic expansion – not for the welfare of the Chinese people, but because they believe economic expansion is the proper way to capture the world’s resources.

They have the same goal as the hawks. They only differ in their methods.

The full spectrum of Chinese leadership is Machiavellian. You will never hear a single one of them utter the phrase, “Do the right thing,” even in Mandarin.

,,,Dec 1, 2017 – During the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

,,,As the celebration of the lunar new year, Tet is the most important holiday on the Vietnamese calendar. In previous years, the holiday had been the occasion for an informal truce in the Vietnam War between South Vietnam and North Vietnam (and their communist allies in South Vietnam, the Viet Cong).

In early 1968, however, the North Vietnamese military commander General Vo Nguyen Giap chose January 31 as the occasion for a coordinated offensive of surprise attacks aimed at breaking the stalemate in Vietnam.

…America is seen as it always was and is, we are use to this, we accept this, as our way of life in aiding others. And, in doing so peace was never on the others agenda it was and has been always ‘overrated’ by others it is us Americans that pay the price.

We are everywhere and will continue to be such.

Pan have a great day ahead, and yes you are correct in that I am living a privileged life, I am a ‘American’.

,,,NORTH KOREA’S LARGEST CONCENTRATION CAMPS ON GOOGLE EARTH
The Committee for Human Rights in North Korea estimates that North Korea holds as many as 120,000 people in its system of concentration and detention camps, and that 400,000 people have died in these camps from torture, starvation, disease, and execution. These reports, in the context of estimates that North Korea has allowed between 600,000 and 2,500,000 of its people to starve to death while its government squandered the nation’s resources on weapons and luxuries for its ruling elite, suggest that North Korea’s oppression and politically targeted starvation of its people collectively constitute the world’s greatest ongoing atrocity, and almost certainly the most catastrophic anywhere on earth since the end of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979.

” The East can never be trusted in any way, they are truly evil towards the world in which we live then and today.”
Oh please !!, Get just a little real can’t you ! I happen to live in the East and I can tell you people are quite simply people, regardless of physical location, culture, religion, what ever you want. Our s**t smells just as bad as the next guy’s and we’re all the same, separated only by which ever indoctrination process we’ve been exposed to. The more religion the greater the indoctrination. You’ve clearly lived some very shallow, probably privileged life, otherwise you’d realise just how under rated peace actually is.

“Who was she?” asked Dorothy. “She was the Wicked Witch of the East, as I said,” answered the little woman. “She has held all the Munchkins in bondage for many years, making them slave for her night and day. Now they are all set free, and are grateful to you for the favor.”

The East can never be trusted in any way, they are truly evil towards the world in which we live then and today.

The Wicked Witch of the West was not pleased with Dorothy for the death of her sister. She was only interested in the magic footwear.

Peace is over rated and follows the yellow brick road.

    Have a Great day Rick.
