- The most recent recorded version of the full three-hour course (the link is in your ‘Account Dashboard’). Your HP Seminar subscription must be current to see this link. After your HP Seminar subscription expires you can see the latest Seminar recording buy purchasing a Seminar recording subscription.
- The original, six-hour, Hidden Pivot course recording is available to view. This does not expire.
- The complete library of Wednesday tutorial sessions conducted during market hours (linked on this page). Your HP Seminar subscription comes with a 3-month Wednesday Tutorial subscription which renews automatically. You can always purchase a Wednesday Tutorial subscription of a longer period (6, or 12 month) to view the recorded sessions and cancel the standard Wednesday Tutorial subscription that comes with the HP Seminar near its expiration date. You can sign up for a Wednesday Tutorial subscription in your Account Dashboard (Add/Renew Subscription).

After you register you will receive a link via the email you entered into the registration form, to enter the class room on the “live” Seminar date. If you do not get the link after you register, your email program probably blocked or sent it to the junk bin. If you still can’t find the link, send an email to subscriptions@rickackerman.com. Please don’t wait to the class starting time to discover you don’t have the link to get in. There is no other way to get the class entry link and get into the class. Don’t look in the Chat Room for the link. No one else has it but you.

Modifying Our Trading Tactics
I’ve received requests to summarize the changes in ‘camouflage’ and HP trading tactics that were broached during the April webinar. They relate to my growing suspicion that more and more algorithmic traders are using “our” internal and external highs and lows for purposes of their own. They do so because the highs and lows are among the very few completely objective benchmarks that can be found on price charts and used mechanically. (Oscillators and moving average crossovers – though not Fibonacci levels — provide signals and trading footholds/handholds that tend to be far more nebulous.)
You can confirm the widespread use of prior highs and lows, even on the lesser charts, by observing the way in which price action becomes momentarily erratic after a given trading vehicle has breached a prior peak or low. Although other technical traders do not use the highs in lows in exactly the way we do, the fact that they are using them at all – increasingly, I would judge – makes them trickier to use. Accordingly, here are my suggestions:
- In the E-mini S&Ps, the most heavily overtraded vehicle of them all, you should routinely pass up the first ‘X’ entry signal no matter how pretty the pattern. The second — or third — time’s likely to be the charm.
- The only exception is when a camo pattern has everything going for it — most particularly, when it is the first such opportunity following a price reversal predicted on a chart of higher degree. In this situation, taking the first signaled entry will still be the least stressful and least risky way to get aboard.
- When sizing up a camo opportunity after an impulse leg has occurred, the first thing you should ask yourself is: Do other traders see anything interesting going on here? If the answer is no, but the impulse leg meets all of our criteria nonetheless – i.e., subtle; short but powerful; no obvious breakout — you are very likely on your way to a profitable trade.
- When in doubt about the potential usefulness of an impulse leg, use a timed buy/sell-stop to initiate the trade. If you get lucky and the stock/future takes off like a bat out of hell, even with many traders expecting it, you’ll nearly always win; iIf not, you’ll probably still be able to scratch the trade.
That’s about it. I would also suggest that you check out the April 9 tutorial recording. We spent most of the hour looking at a really tedious stretch of LNKD price bars, finding nothing but easy opportunities where most other traders would have been sitting on their thumbs. You should be aware as well that although conventional charts show LNKD to have opened on a gap, there was actually a slow rise overnight – one with at least one very tradable ABCD patterns of minute degree. This suggests superb opportunities for traders in Europe who use the Hidden Pivot Method, since it makes relatively easy pickings of U.S. ‘momentum stocks’ at a time of day when they are not overly scrutinized and/or overtraded. I’ve attached two LNKD charts so that you can see exactly what I’m talking about.
