After Kavanaugh, the Real Storm?

We’ve never put much store in the belief that news moves the markets. It’s the other way around as far as we’re concerned — i.e., the ups and downs of stocks color our perception of the news. Thus, a rally on a day when the headlines are particularly unsettling tends to make us think the news must not be so bad after all, or that investors are so very confident that they’ve simply absorbed it without qualm. Which brings us to the Kavanaugh episode. What are we to make of the fact that stocks have continued strongly higher as the nation’s mounting feud over Trump’s legitimacy threatens to cross the line into bloody violence? Such an escalation is hardly unthinkable, given that Ted Cruz and his wife were chased from a Washington D.C. restaurant Monday night by leftists behaving like Weimar brownshirts. Recall that Germany’s street mobs mutated into an SS in just ten short years.

Shades of Weimar

It is particularly unsettling that Washington police were not summoned to the restaurant and that no one was arrested, even for trespassing. This can only embolden what appears to be a nascent brownshirt movement in the U.S.  If they are not reined in, their protests are going to grow increasingly violent, especially when the object of their hatred moves out onto the street. As for their corporate sponsors — Soros and other super-rich rabble-rousers who despise America — they are playing with fire. And so, for that matter is Wall Street, which thus far has chosen to party alongside developments that could push America into a state of martial law overnight. Anyone who thinks otherwise has not fully considered the seething hatreds that are rending America, nor the likelihood that those hatreds will turn even more savage if, as appears likely, Kavanaugh is confirmed, a watershed event that could happen as early as next Tuesday.

I am not certain, but there is credible evidence that all the “Grassroots” protestors are on the payroll of Mr. George Soros or his minions.

Plenty of Federal laws on the books to put Georgy Boy in prison for inciting to riot, or conspiracy to “Disrupt” the government process.
The Patriot Act comes to mind here.

And the burden of proof in a RICO indictment is very lightweight.
The Government does not need to prove he ordered any crimes to be committed.
All they have to prove is that Georgy Boy was in charge at the top.

So far the Deep State response has been that Trump and his Russian overlords are the culprits.
Hopefully, Trump is using restraint until after the Elections to show his fist.
    Let’s hope so!

Not many of us get to experience significant historic events in our pitifully short life spans. But I am just beginning to entertain the thought that perhaps, just a smidgen of a chance I know, but maybe .. .. just maybe….. it’s gonna be us …..WOW : )

Quite right. There will be consequences. It’s frightening.

FB since the monthly August highs and 3 bar evening star has lost near 30% a bell weather of the social media cluster investment.

Part of the upcoming downturn will be the collapse of social media.

The most severe downturn in American history was the period of the early 1860’s to mid 1860’s where the stock market had fallen for 7 consecutive years and a drop in pricing by 80 to 90 percent of values towards every sector of investment.

The main grievance of the Southern states was tariffs. Although slavery was a factor at the outset of the Civil War, it was not the sole or even primary cause. … The country experienced a period of lower tariffs and vibrant economic growth from 1846 to 1857. Then a bank failure caused the Panic of 1857. All downhill there after.

Poorer times to be a political figure also.

    Have a great day Rick.
