Is the fat lady warming up her pipes? It certainly seems that way. Setting the chaotic swirl of global drama to music would be worthy of Verdi’s talents. Silhouetted behind a sheer curtain is the caravan, a radioactive caterpillar inching its way toward the U.S. border; leftist protestors are in high dudgeon, peeing on Senators who would risk walking their dogs; the Dodgers’ bullpen could be about to meet its match; a $1.6 billion jackpot has coaxed nearly every able-bodied American to visit a convenience store during the last three days; Saudi Arabia continues to spin a murder story so that there’s a unique version to fascinate each and every one of us; Democrats, Republicans and their respective coteries are all quite certain they’re going to win big on November 6; Trump gets Trumpier by the day, impressive in his arrogance and scarily inured to doubts. And then, Act V, straight out of Wagner: Yellowstone’s caldera erupts, bringing all of the mayhem to an ashen but utterly quiet end. The audience is too stunned to applaud.
Is That the Fat Lady in the Wings?

The invasion will continue no matter what. Because we are at war with everyone including ourselves. There is no longer any civility. When the attitude is win at all costs no matter who gets hurt, it’s over. No matter what garbage comes out of the media or the elites, the end is coming. Hopefully the stock market goes with it. If you remember the fake plunging of the stock futures on election night when it looked like Trump was gonna win, you can understand what is going on now. The elites who control those carnival games tried their hardest to scare the plebs, it was a no contest win for the people. They will do anything to destroy Trump. And that includes bringing on a horrific depression so they can get a win. Both parties are pathetic. Reset please.

The opposite of a Plunge Protection Team, sort of. But bear markets don’t happen because of what the elites do; they simply happen. RA

“Silhouetted behind a sheer curtain is the caravan, a radioactive caterpillar inching its way toward the U.S. border”
I can’t find the article now, but in that story, someone in the caravan declared, “Only God can stop us”.
So, here’s hurricane Willa! Either they get stuck in a tropical storm, or Mexico decides they need the aid more than they need to spit in our faces again. Whichever happens, it doesn’t look to me like the caravan will be getting much further.
Saudi Arabia and Turkey are an entirely different matter. If one is looking for an “end of the world”, the Levant is where they need to keep their eyes.

I perfectly agree. If the hurricane strikes, a merciful G_d will provide a way for the trekkers to exchange their flip-flops for sturdier shoes. RA
RA…Are you saying the Elites don’t control the money supply? Has not QE 1,2,3, Zirp and whatever else kept this bull market going till now?

The flood of money has indiscriminately caused dubious asset classes to rise to absurd levels, including real estate and the stock market. But I stop short of saying that the mountebanks and imbeciles who run the central bank are “in control.” This will become clear when the inevitable deflationary bust occurs. There will be no big winners in a deflation, only survivors — and that will include the erstwhile Masters of the Universe. Why is this certain? Because all of the big money is made by leveraging assets to the hilt. Deflation, in contrast, implies a precipitous de-leveraging.
Concerning my use of the word “imbeciles” to characterize the likes of Easy Al Greenspan, I justify this because he promoted the idea, and evidently believed it himself, that inflated home values constitute household wealth. He also spoke of an investment boom when household savings growth was in fact negative. These are egregious assumptions that even an Eco 101 student would not make. RA
