The Art of the Lousy Deal

Trump and his political enemies are close to a deal on a border wall, but if either side has the chutzpah to take a victory lap (see inset), it’s going to be one celebration too many for millions of Americans. We can leave it to news commentators on the left and right to sort out who got what. If it makes the country’s southern border less porous, it’ll at least be a small victory for taxpayers.

The border war has had little if any impact on the stock market. The tariff war with China, on the other hand, has subjected stocks to a roller coaster ride since spring. The effect has become more muted recently, probably because the expected outcome — i.e., the “deal” Trump is liable to get from Xi Jinping — is unlikely to be any more constructive or meaningful than the budget about to be passed on Capitol Hill. Under the circumstances, a tariff agreement has the potential to end the presumptive bear rally on Wall Street. Buy the rumor, sell the news, as the saying goes.

The USA Mexico wall has been in progress for 20 years, the Trump Wall is the ‘ax’ moving the thinking of the nation away from Acceptances towards Protectionism. Hence ending globalism on even a larger scale.

The education system in America will also be realign ‘away’ from acceptances of foreign born persons over time this was seen in the Obama election and years of his presidency as he claim himself a hyphen-America (African-American) which was a 1st in American history. Suggesting that a ‘top’ of sorts had been put in place for those thinking in such a way about themselves. Being ‘1st an American’ was place on the back burner and this set the ‘peak’ in this behavior suggesting a major change in trend towards Acceptances and leading towards Protectionism (MAGA red hats). It seem as this movement to be some type of unreal event that would be over time ending quickly but it will not and has a very long shelve life more than many can see, thinking in cycles of human behavior work over decades not years.

One ‘tell’ on the matter is the very low diving viewership number of the past football game this last week and few years now or so the super bowl.

The TV viewership of Super bowl LIIII collapsed in a virtual waterfall to just 98.2 million viewers. CBS, however, said the big game was watched across all platforms — including digital and streaming — by a combined total of 100.7 million viewers. That is still a major decline down 5% from last year when 103.4 million watched the game. The younger generation is gradually declining in their interest in such sports games. Nonetheless, what it is revealing is not only are newspapers and magazine dying slowly but so is TV.

Moving back into 85 to 90 million level rather rapidly, that is the 1980 level in stat levels of viewership.

The Collapsed in viewership suggest that the trend in ‘force’ (a political trend, because of ‘kneeling’) has turned downward, meaning ‘political behavior’ as a mainstream event is ending.

Political behavior as the main event in society is coming to an end, suggesting that a new trend is rising….’economic behavior’ will become ‘mainstream’.

The real TRUMP WALL will be the economic fall of ‘border cities’ not until these areas collapse in real terms (restate values, trade, etc.) will the wall be complete.

Focus has been on Political news and processes more so than at other turning points. Observing main event news during 02/2001, 02/2008 turning points where not as this level, so we are looking for the changing of the guard in news. That will be towards ‘economic news’ to grow and create the new trend, these points are tie together as an inflection point. The failure of the ‘back stops’ to be in place will start a snowball affect of decline values everywhere. 10b-18 stock market rules is the real bull market for over 30-40 years changing the scope of valuation towards a degree not seen well over 80+/- plus years.

A long term and military encampment will be formulated at the southern border the next 50-100 years as we may also see the northern border of the USA going the same route over time. The lost of unattached border nation states towards the USA such as Hawaii, Alaska, and the common wealth of Puerto Rico may move ‘away’ from American interest, the wealthy may be hit so bad that they simply lose their own power base system of support in these places. As, oil reserves, vacationing/military protective alignments are no longer needed as in the pass because of technology driven military development. Unheard of pricing devaluation in these places may not be able to support USA tax basing methods and will be as towards what take place towards the collapse of USA border towns.

    Have a great day Rick.

The President needs to quit screwing around with Congress, and just have the Army Corps of Engineers build the damn thing already. As Commander in Chief of the Army, per our Constitution, he was able to do that on _day one_.
