    As someone who is always searching for the “Backstory” , it sure seems to me that “Follow the Money” applies in this case.

    Quite an opportunity for someone to slowly load up Options or Futures contracts in advance on CL, RB, GC, you name it.

    Happened over a weekend when markets were closed so the suspense could build up, to run the shorts at the open.
    “Just get me out of that trade!”

    Iran, the Houthis, the CIA, you name it, quite the payday for someone.
