Why you should forget about trying to make a big score with NVDA options — even if you “know” what the stock will do after earnings come out tomorrow following the closing bell….

NVDA ‘s top tomorrow will occur at 1067, or possibly a bit higher. (Click on link below for explanatory chart.) However, the carnival game is rigged so that no one could simply buy JoeyJolt’s straddle for $78 ahead of the close and win. Although the straddle is guaranteed to be worth (probably much) more than that overnight, you won’t get to trade out of it until most of the premium has evaporated before Thursday’s opening bell. And even then, you will be dealing with fleeting highs/lows that will make it impossible to close out the straddle at anything remotely approaching optimal prices.
